This one’s perfect for those who’d like to flaunt their blog stats. Pagerank, Alexa, User stats, RSS feed subscribers and the like.

Of course, you can manually put them together but if you remain busy and would prefer it all automated like me, this is the plugin for you. It puts together all the following stats on a single page, and will update the values automatically.

This will be the perfect solution for those looking at putting up a page for advertisers, to convince them that is.

And if your blog stats are not yet impressive, hold on, we’ll try this guy three months later. ;)

blog-stats-plugin(That’s great stats, whoever it is.) :o

Alright, so we know these are bad times. Credit crunch ? You better call it “Credit Crumble !” Clearly, there’s a slow down, expenses cut and  ad budgets slashed, small and medium companies are finding it difficult too. So, how can you get out of this situation, spending less but earning more(or at least sailing through) ? - Cut your Advertisement budgets. After all, the sales are low and everyone is playing it safe without much expenditure, so it makes sense not to advertise as much you’d normally do right ? - Continue Reading…

Wordpress 2.7 comes with a category class, which can be exploited to create custom messages for each category on the article pages. This is a bright idea that you could use to take advantage of the most popular category on your blog. You could either use the custom message to promote a product, or just give a “surprise” message to the reader or something similar. What the hack does – Displays a custom styled text message either on main article page (single.php) , at the end of the post, that will appear only on selected categories. The Continue Reading…

Sometimes, pictures speak better than words. Here is a simple illustration I created for one of my clients to show how image optimization can be done easily.

Here is a nice list I found the other day. W-Shadow has put up a top 10 list of the best Wordpress plugin developers of 2008, based on plugin popularity and number of plugins developed. I think it’s a very apt and true list. Check out the plugins from these authors, they’re all cool. Michael Torbert 961 306 downloads. Co-author of All In One SEO Pack (originally created by Uberdose). Matt Mullenweg 921 827 downloads. Everybody knows Matt, the main Continue Reading…

If you answered “hard work and patience”, you’re probably a regular DSB reader. But today, I have a slightly different story to tell.

No..we are not talking black hat here, but I thought a little clarification is required on what is really hard work and patience that pays off at the end.

Whenever I discuss with a client on what the targets should be, there is no ambiguity when it comes to results. Almost all, wants definitive results. Some prefer page views and traffic (bigger players mostly) while some want definite search engine ranks for particular keywords. But results are key. Continue Reading…

A blogger friend was worried over the last Google PageRank update. Not because he didn’t get a PR jump, but it showed up in an unexpected way. His homepage got a PR jump from PR1 to PR3, but one of his internal pages got a PR 4 as well. So now, he has the homepage at PR3, one internal page at PR4, and rest at PR1 and 2. Now, what happened was that the internal page with PR4 was actually where he released a Wordpress plugin. And it went popular gathering a few good backlinks, which resulted in Continue Reading…

Looks like my prediction on Google PageRank was right. I had predicted it for December last. – Jan mid. ;)

I could see a Google Page Rank (toolbar) update on few of my blogs, just minutes earlier. Last time it was in September, so three months down, I think it’s happening. (No change in DailySEOblog PR yet.)

No official news from Google yet, but the toolbar page rank update is happening right now. Check your blogs.

You can use these tools to check the Pagerank.

UPDATE:
Matt Cutts has just confirmed on Twitter that there’s been a Toolbar Page Rank update today.

Tracking the popular clicks on your articles is no easy job. Advanced analytics programs like Crazyegg allows you to do it, but it’s a paid service. For monitoring your links and clicks, there are very few free programs available as of now. I know that MyBlogLog allows us to track the most popular outgoing links from the entire site if you use the JavaScript code, but it isn’t flexible at all. Here is a new wordpress plugin that promises to let us track the link and clicks on them on each post individually. It tracks the number of Continue Reading…
