This is second post in the Link Building Strategies series. What do you think about Interviews? They always pass some value to you right ? Interviews are no big deal on the internet. If you have a brand to show off or have done something remarkably different, then you are a candidate for interview. The interesting thing is “what is considered remarkable on the internet ? ”. November saw a flurry of activity on DailySEOblog. The stats (Awstats) show that November gave the best ever traffic on DSB. I think I must attribute it to the New theme release and the AJAXed comments feature. There have been a triple fold rise in the number of comments and new users showing up on comments. I know for a fact that there are many passive readers out there on RSS readers who are fans of DSB. When I go to blogcamps, there are more “strangers” who come up to me to show their love and affection. I’m Continue Reading…
If you know the SEO basics, it’s pretty easy going from there. For an SEO basic review that is. To help you analyze your webpages, Google webmasters recommend the Lynx browser, which is a text based browser that “almost” shows you the website how the search engines would see. As a matter of fact, not Chrome or Firefox will show you the “basic ripped off version” of a website. They plug in all the fancy stuff including Javascript, Ajax and all that to give you a better browsing experience. While Google and the other search engine bots, rips Continue Reading…

Looks like there is a critical update to Wordpress available right now ! According to the official blog - The security issue is an XSS exploit discovered by Jeremias Reith that fortunately only affects IP-based virtual servers running on Apache 2.x. If you are interested only in the security fix, copy wp-includes/feed.php and wp-includes/version.php from the 2.6.5 release package. 2.6.5 contains three other small fixes in addition to the XSS fix. The first prevents accidentally saving post meta information to a revision. The second prevents XML-RPC from fetching incorrect post types. The third Continue Reading…
Professional looking, XHTML valid Wordpress themes are really hard to find, is it not ? From the numerous free Wordress theme galleries around, it’s really hard to find one that the crowd will immediately identify as “professional looking.” Almost all the free Wordpress themes available are amateurish, and leave that “yet another copy” impression to your blog. We are unable to determine when the page rank update will be, but my guess is that it might be sometime soon around December –Jan mid. Even if it is delayed, the point is that the time is right for us to do the necessary steps to gear up towards the Continue Reading…
