Is the New Yahoo search actually Old wine in new bottle ?

Yahoo says its new.

“Okay…so that means better search results and better algorithm ?”

“Well.. not really. We’ve just added a few frills here and there, polished it a bit..and voila ! The all new yahoo search for ya !”

That’s an imaginary conversation but quite likely true.

The search results haven’t improved any bit ! They still suck. ~~Intelligent~~

Sorry to say that Yahoo, but couldn’t find any improvement in your relevancy, and the same skewed results !

The new Searchpad is not exactly new.

Yahoo had launched Searchpad in July (and other new products) of this year. Its a new concept but a damp tool. Haven’t heard of anyone using it either.

On the whole, I like the new design and the new tools, they’re nothing to get excited about but sure looks promising, and may be spending some time with them may make us fall in love as well.

I don’t know if its me but there seems to be a lot of similarities with Bing, the way you’ve planned things. But no, their results are more skewed. So, for all Google haters, you’re the next thing bing..I mean big !

Nicely written . I too think its old wine in new bottle . But they have a good design now .
And also who will hate Google ? I don’t know anyone hates google , all are earning money in one way or the other with Google .
Every one seems to be googlers and using atleast one of their products .

Am I right Mani ?

I had to laugh when I read this article. I actually was joking about the same thing today. When I read the title of this article I busted out laughing. I would have to say they are, they even had to opportunity to buy the secret formula Google uses and turned it down.
