Are there, at all, any optimizing procedures for URLs on a website, or is it okay to leave them just like that, they way they are ?
That’s the question many webmasters ask these days regarding URL optimization, because Google had cleared once that they didn’t have too much trouble crawling through those long URLs, and if the content on the page made any sense, then its enough for them to understand what the content on a website is.
But recently, Google introduced parameter filtering where webmasters could help Google bots make sense of those crazy characters found in dynamically generated URLs.
If they were good to make it out themselves, why the parameter help ?
Well, in reality many webmasters take the safer side, and recommend that the URLs be optimized, rather than leave it to search engines to find out what they mean.
You can find more about optimizing URLs here.

Url seo is the only way to go. In my test the closer your domain.com/keyword.html is the better. Directories style use to carry more weight in my opinion. Now there going back to old school.
