Google Employees get to test the Google Phone

At least, that’s what the clues lead us to. When the internet is all buzz about the new revolutionary concept “Google Phone” rumours, today Google’s official word comes out that its testing out a new concept phone, exclusively with its employees, what they call – “eating your own dogfood”.
In Google’s words, – “We recently came up with the concept of a mobile lab, which is a device that combines innovative hardware from a partner with software that runs on Android to experiment with new mobile features and capabilities, and we shared this device with Google employees across the globe.”
Now, what else can it be other than the Google Phone ?
The Google Phone will be available for sale directly from Google to users, by passing the mobile operator/carrier, unlike the iPhone. This is in my opinion going to be huge. When Google can issue exclusive phone numbers via its Google Voice service and a bucket load of data based Andriod softwares available already, all we need is to get our hands on it.
Google phone is a great concept, but I’m just not sure how it will work if they want to bypass network operators and use Google Voice phone numbers. I’m just concerned that it won’t be very reliable, but we’ll see.
I think the best answer will be to sell it unlocked, so that people can choose a network operator. I hate locked phones and always buy unlocked.
Google phone is big hype for a mobile market, most of the mobile freak are anxiously waiting for google phone. In first phase google has haded over devices to the employees but i think they should do soft beta launch in the market and listen the users suggestions.
