Google has it’s Click-to-call ads trial feature running at the moment(it’s been there for a while actually).

According to which you can advertise just like AdWords - and call the interested “client” !

It works like this.

- You advertise your “product” just like in AdWords,
- And if a potential client is interested in your ad, he clicks the ad.
- He’s prompted to give his phone number to Google.
- Google calls up the client.
- Google also call you up and connect the both parties.

The interesting part is that you don’t have to call the “client” but Google will call the client once he enters his number by clicking the ad - and connect the line to you!

Here’s how Google puts it.

Web users click your ad and enter their phone number. We call them instantly and put them on the line with your business or call center. You pay only when a call is made, at the price you set — no long distance or other phone charges.

This is particularly useful when you require to actually get to contact the client - get to know him up close and give him the “product” - whatever that is.

I’m wondering as to whether Google will take care of any call from anywhere or it’s limited to a territory. If it’s the former, this is a pretty cool business model if you ask me.
