Adwords is better than any other advertising network - reinforces none other than Yahoo!

These days the existing laws of corporate bye laws are challenged. And mostly proved wrong too.

Anyone who takes a look at the ad on the right will agree that this is the ultimate example of how competitors can be “friends”.

Yahoo is advertising one of it’s products “Yahoo Answers” on the Google Adwords program.(shock! shock! shock!)

This reminds me of a symbiotic association i read way back in my school. The Wikipedia quotes -

‘The living together in permanent or prolonged close association of members of usually two different species, with beneficial or deleterious consequences for at least one of the parties.’

It can also be compared to a bird-cow relationship - on lighter thoughts!

Here, both Yahoo and Google are benefited as well as used.Yahoo is the smarty here - it uses the Google ad network to show off its beautiful plumage. And google in turn is allowing it to sit on it’s back, may be a scratch in between can get it relief from the ticks and mites.

Jokes apart, this is wonderful synergy we see here - two corporates which run similar products using the other one to it’s benefit.Since YPN isn’t available in India yet, where will Google advertise? Or is it planning a sweeter payback?
