MyBlogLog who is running a competition for US bloggers to grow their community, has come up with a range of buttons for your blog.

Many of them are the standard 88×31pixels buttons that fits neatly to your sidepanel. I think they are a bit old fashioned and not really web 2.0.

Designers out there, if you have an idea for a button, do let them know. Ideas are always welcome at MyBlogLog.

The title says it all. If you have a MyBloglog community, ask people to join in and the community that grows the most, in their gross total, from now to November 30, 2007, will win. Read more here.

I think that means - the ratio of growth is what matters. Example - If your community has 1000 members and it grew to 2000 members bye the deadline, you would fail to a community that started off with 10 members and reached 100 members. That is 10 times growth while yours is only two times growth.

I’m unsure about this, but this is what it looks like.

This is an initiative from the MyBloglog team to encourage bloggers to grow their community. And the prizes? There are a handful of sponsors already.

Downside of the competition ? The promotion is open to U.S. residents who are 16 or older. And that puts me off !

This is exciting news! The first and foremost BarCamp is going to be held in Kerala, this November 24th. It’s probably going to be hosted at the Technopark Auditorium, Trivandrum, (actually the venue is not decided yet.) This is the first of it’s kind happening in Kerala, and I have mixed emotions regarding it.

I’m happy because it’s happening in the building, next to where I work.
Sad because, I’ll miss the usual travel and on-flight adventures.

Nevertheless, this sounds cool as this BarCamp had been in the planning for quite a long time, and if it materializes, that’s something to be happy about. (Psst..I had registered for this, an year ago.) :0

With the new Google PR updates, I thought this might be the right time to go for the site redesign I’ve been planning for quite some time. So here it is!

Daily SEO blog will now sport a new look. The new theme highlights content along with advertising options which was limited in the earlier design from Scott. It was an excellent theme with highly semantic coding and cross browser compatibilities. But the advertising real estate options were limited in it.

This theme is a free one called Green Wave 1.0 from Romow. I hope it runs smoothly, if at all you come across anything worth noting, please do let me know. :)

Just noticed that DailySEOblog is ”awarded” Page Rank 4 !

And, I still strongly stick to my words.

I just don’t give a damn about it.  Eat that Google! (Courtesy-JC)

Interestingly, there seems to be shuffling again all over the web. Here is the old list from DBT with the updated changes. Seen in green are the ones that managed to hit back and seen in red are the one’s gone further down.

New entries - Bloggingtips.com (0 to 4) and DailySEOblog.com (0 to 4)

So, it’s regret time for Google? Seems like they have taken off the penalty on some websites like Problogger and Copyblogger, while maintaining it for some, and even further degrading on a few like John TP.

Is this the end or is there another shuffling going to happen?
