- Have you been browsing the internet from the Office?
- During work hours?
- Does your employer not allow you to do so?
- Do you have a chance of getting fired if you browse during work hours?
If the answer to any of the question above is Yes, then you might want to try this tool - GhostZilla!
Ghostzilla is a small browser application designed to enable you to surf the net without others knowing that you are. In fact it’s a camouflage. The Ghostzilla window adjusts/camouflages itself to the current application you are running like MS Word or IE, or any other.
It adapts so well, that you cannot make out that it’s a different application at all.
Despite camouflaging itself, it also dims/camouflages the images and text you are browsing through it so that it doesn’t catch a by standers or your bosses attention.
It even can be resized to the size of a small chat window - but enabling the browsing.
This is pretty useful if you want to check your email while at office or remain in g-talk chat/meebo while at office.
How it works?
Just move the mouse over to the other application(job related) when someone passes by, then ghostzilla automatically goes to invisible mode.
All the images are shown dimmed/grey unless you point the mouse over it.
It does not show itself on the taskbar when hidden!
You can browse websites in tab mode just like in firefox.
