This is yet another website that will allow you to make those ultra-cool aerosol, airbrush paitings - u’ve seen it on the underground cab station, on those funky videos - now try your name on the website this way!

And with this website, which gives you a flash enabled graffiti generator, it’s easy as hell!

Just enter your name and select the style of graffiti you need , then it allows you to do all the changes that is needed - like border colour, thickness, letter colours, rotation and try different styles and textures to it.

And though it doesnt allow you to save the file from the flash player, you can save it using the famous Print screeen> copy>paste on Paint method - they have a help section that will help you to do this also.

Another useful feature is the print radio button, on selecting which will print the curent doc to your printer - simple!

It’s sometimes annoying to see the edges and background of desktop icons stick out and spoil all the charm of that cool wallpaper you set.

Here’s a quick tip how to change the background colours of icons to transparent.

Go to Control Panel / System / Advanced / Performance Tab / Settings Button and put a checkmark in: Use Drop Shadows for Icon Labels on the Desktop

Presto! That should do the magic.

Here’s how you can save flash files from websites on Internet Explorer.

Visit the webpage (here i’m using http://www.isa4d.com - just randomly picked it from a directory of best flash sites!)

Either wait for the page to load or goto the View menu and select Source( View > Source )

Now it would show up the HTML code for the site.
(In this case it’s a bit short - good for a lesson.)

Now click CTRL+F buttons together or go to the Edit menu and select Find( Edit > Find )

In the search bar type swf and click find.

It will take you to something similar to EMBED src=”index.swf”

Now select the file path. Example if it is EMBED src=”/files/flash/animationindex.swf” , copy the entire file path starting from the forward slash(/)

Now goto the address bar and paste the path next to the end of the current address.

It wud look like - www.isa4d.com/files/flash/animationindex.swf

Now click go or hit Enter and the same flash file will load for you but without the HTML - only the file.

You know what to do next ! goto File > Save as and save the file ins a safe place.

P.S - This may not work with some websites that has the files protected / also with some sites that use frames - I’ll tell you how to crack them in the next tip

Here’s a shocking Times of India news - I wudnt be surprised to see more of this in the cming times!!

KOCHI: Police have registered cases of sedition and criminal consipiracy in connection with an e-mail containing threats to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, who is visiting Kerala next week, and President APJ Abdul Kalam.

Four persons, including the owner of the cyber cafe from where the e-mail was sent to various senior officials of the state, were being questioned by the police.

The e-mail also contained references to Parliament attack case convict Mohammed Afzal Guru and Abdul Nasser Madani, an accused in the 1998 Coimbatore blasts and now lodged in a jail in Tamil Nadu.

Apart from the owner of cyber cafe, which has been sealed by the police, others being questioned are two of his women employees and a watchman.

Twelve persons are said to have visited the cafe on October 26 when the mail was sent to at least 20 top officials of the state, including the Director General of Police and the Home secretary, police sources said.

Two cases under Sections 506 (sedition) and 120 (criminal conspiracy) of Indian Penal Code were registered at the Central Police Station.

Senior police officials, inlcuding Central Range DIG K Padmakumar and city police commissioner K Vijayan, and officials from the anti-cyber crime squad evalauted the progress of investigation on Saturday morning.

ADGP Rajen Madhakar, who reached on Saturday afternoon, held talks with the police officials.

Later talking to reporters, DIG K Padma Kumar said the investigation was progressing.

‘We are trying to investigate the case with the help of Cyber crime experts,’ he said.

He declined to give any further details.

Cyber crimes are on the rise in Kerala these days and the Govt. has decided to open a Cyber crime police station to curb them. Very good decision! I only wish if more of the new Internet user community is also made aware of the cyber laws!
