That sounds too good to be true right ? But there’s this cool new tool that will help us do just that. Bookmark to multiple social bookmarking sites with just one click.
OnlyWire is a new social bookmarking tool with a difference. Its not a social bookmarking site but a tool (they call it a button) that will help you to save time and bookmark any article to any number of popular social bookmarking sites with just one click.
The whole process is done in three steps.
Step 1 – Where you register and sign up for the tool.
Step 2 – Where you set all the social bookmarking sites you wish to use by giving their login and password (Hmm…risky !)
Step 3 – Adding the Only Wire button to your blog or browser.
From then on, when you find an interesting link, just use the button and it posts the URL to all the social bookmarking sites you have previously set, within minutes.
- Saves a lot of time.
- Managing different social bookmark accounts never was easy.
- Automation may screw things up at some networks.
- Same article being posted on all networks doesn’t look good on your profile.
So even though any kind of automation in social bookmarking is not healthy, this tool does a great job in minimizing the effort and saving time. May be they can improve a bit in the next upgrade with “selective posting” where one can select which site to post and which not to, with options to tweak the title for each network ?

I did try Onlywire, as well as Ping.fm, and to be honest, I still had to go in and submit passwords and do some other tasks, so it’s not quite as simple as the creators of it make it out to be. It got to be so annoying that what I did was select a few social media sites and just use them. And, I find that I have had the most luck in backlinking with Twitter. But, by all means, I hope others have more luck than I did with it.
