In Kerala a recent wave of law enforcement closed down almost all DVD/VCD renting libraries, both legal and illegal ones. All street vendors swept away and no CD’s at all available for rent at all - except what you have in the stores for sale.The movie stars are running road campaigns against piracy and the effect of it on the movie and music industry.

There’s joke running around saying some police man barged into one guy’s house and snatched away his wedding CD saying it’s pirated. All Kool !

Now enters Moser Baer - It has announced it’s entry into the Indian Home entertainment market - and with confident steps. DVD’s at the rate of 38Rs(Less than 1 US $) and VCD’s at 24Rs.This is an excellent “skimming price strategy” by MB. Now there is a huge demand in the public for home entertainment and they are stepping in at the right time, with the right price.

Pyramid - which is a popular CD/DVD company in Tamil Nadu has tied up with Moser Baer as well to release it’s future movies. Sadly, MB original DND’s are not yet available in all the stores but a selected few. Here is the list of all the vendors in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka , where you can get original copies of Indian movies DVD’s and CD’s at cheap rates.It’s not yet available in Kerala.
