A question everybody (except John Chow, Amit Agarwal or Darren Rowse) is hesitant to answer. Well, there is nothing to hide after all I don’t believe that the success of a blog is in making money online. It’s got to do more with the brand building socializing etc for me. And any income that comes out of it is bonus.( I have a full time job to worry about..) Well, For the month of August 2007, here’s how much money i made out of this blog.
Google AdSense – US $ 103
Co blogging – US $ 50
Adify – US $ 10
—————————-
Total US $ 163
Not a party-thrower stuff. Eh? Well, I hope this will encourage other bloggers (at least in India) who are not A-Listers to reveal their income and show what’s actually behind the much hyped blogging guru status all of us enjoy.
Quick note: I had pulled off Nautank.tv ads from the blog since there were complaints raised about the bad user experience it creates. Nautanki had already paid me INR 8000 (US $ 177 appx)for the first month. I’m thinking of including them once again, in a more convenient spot that creates no bad user experience. After all they have a great turn out ratio compared to any other ads.
Not bad at all. You’re doing good!

Hi,
Few questions to you , if you bother to answer
1. How to subscribe to your post thru email ?
I don’t see a easy link in your home page. (may be this is a suggestion )
2.from my past experience I don’t see a techie clicking on google advt. since he knows its an advt. So if you write technical material alone then targeted audience is also techies . so what is the logic behind getting revenue out of adsense – I am bothered about this for a long long time and finaly started by blog dotgiri.com and as expected I don’t get any clicks thru adsense.
3. Are you still getting revenue thru those posts.
4. Which is the most relevent income source for your blog site. adsense/ affiliate programs / banner advt etc.
5. are you a full time blogger now
sorry for asking questions in numbered if it hurts you in anyway – i didn’t mean it.
thanks
and keep up the nice work
