Page Load Time for a blog is important – how better could I put it?
I know this is tough, but its written down somewhere and I know its to some extent true, that having a lesser page load time is better for your website. I don’t want to get into the debate of whether page load time will affect your SERPs, but it sure affects your AdWords quality score.
Regardless of that, having a lesser page load time is a good indication that you value your visitors. That you don’t want to keep them waiting. Page Load time is primarily decided by the number of web elements on your blog, so that includes images, scripts etc.
Though it might not make any sense saying that those websites having a page load time of .00X seconds fall to the gentleman’s league, it is observed that winners keep them low. Not all, but most of them.
Now, if you wanted to check how long does it take for your blog to load up from different places worldwide, use this nifty tool – WatchMouse Web Monitor Tool. It basically tells you how long does it take, the resolve time, connect time, download time and the download size. And whether they encountered any error on the way accessing your site.
Very useful tool this one, try it out. Meanwhile, I’ve got to optimize some images
This is great…. one place where you can check for your page load time. But, to understand what is the ideal time for a page to load is something…. It would be great if you provide us the ideal page load time or an average of sorts for comparison. But otherwise this sure is a great write up and gr8 tool

I usually use Pingdom to test my load times, but more testers are good for me
