It might sound bizarre, but how does it feel to know that someone is actually doing it ?
Not newspapers but, Tammy is using a better tool, Google AdWords to get more followers on Twitter.
And she has nothing to boast about, no slogans, whatsoever. Just a single line ad that humbly requests you to follow her.
Here’s the ad I spotted on DSB the other day.
Tammy has at the moment 309 followers, and the bio says –
Christian, wife, parent, occasional beach bum. Consummate student who is always learning. Currently focused on reputation management.
She’s also linked to her Linked In profile.
Good use of social media, I’d say.

She could be using the free Adwords cash Google gave webmasters.
Last week I got a message in Google webmasters tools saying I can have free 100$ cash on Adwords.

Ya, that must be the case. Else who in the right mind would advertise for followers?

Just for getting tweeples to follow her shelling out money on Ads…its insane..on twitter only we can get hundreds of followers..She don’t know how to use twitter.

@Arun she doesn’t have a website or a blog . So I don’t know whether she have used the free ads . There is a possibility too .
Anyway utilising the google adsense and social media .

I guess you are right, she talked serious about the twitter stuff, doesn’t look like she is using anything free.

Personally, I think this is brilliant!!! Smile. I was trying to learn more about Google AdWords. I wanted to learn the details prior to using it seriously, so I thought – ‘hey Tammy, why not advertise your Twitter page?’ (Yea, that is me talking to myself.)
I enjoy Twitter – I likely “get” more than I “give” there – it is a great tool. I read Twitter updates now instead of opening a Newspaper!
I think you should still follow me though!

Already It was a nice idea, at least you got some eyeballs your way. Last time I remember someone doing anything similar was John Chow targeting Darren Rowse on his blog via AdSense. Creative minds there !

I’d say a brilliant and unique idea. Whatever she’s up to, it might just work. I think it’d be better if she placed the url her website instead of her twitter.
