Google webmasters team has updated the webmasters console with some cool new stuff and aptly titled the whole thing as “Summer Shine”. So that means there is more to come and more codenames as well.
With this update the following new tools / features have been introduced.
Webmaster tools now lists all verified sites that you own, and allows you to search as you type.
Before today if you owned example.com, you couldn’t block sitelinks for example.com/email.
You can now see URL removal requests submitted by other users for any sites you own, and revoke them if necessary. In the past, if another webmaster for your site mistakenly removed a URL on your site and left for vacation it was a difficult process to undo the request.
Webmasters tool homepage now make a clear distinction between verified and unverified sites. No big deal for regular users but useful.
Looking forward to more updates from the Google Webmasters tem

I heard about the ability of deleting site link pages. My question is though, who the heck would want to do that?

Haha Good question Rob, If you have not figured it out already Google used to show sitelinks based on the traffic and some “undisclosed” algorithm, so the whole thing was automated and neither did Google or the webmaster could control as to what appeared as sitelinks.
So this feature comes as a blessing when something unwanted showed up on the sitelinks (obviously due to traffic).
Thanks for asking.
